The Dog
I made a drawing of a person with a dog mask a few years ago. Looking back, the drawing meant the start af a theme in things I made. It kicked of a process of creating around feelings of isolation, love and taking up space.
Turning the drawing into a wearable mask became a goodbye to those old feelings. The mask is accompanied by three larger scale works on paper, as going bigger was a challenge I gave myself during that time. All paintings were presented as a complete body of work during two group exhibitions in Brussels and Bruges.
Het Huisfeest, Pick a card and Kaars were all made with Posca markers, acryl paint and coloured pencil on paper.
